This week’s Podcast is about “Srinivasa Perumal Thirukovil,Thirukkulandai”. Thirukkulandai is currently known as perungulam in thirunelveli district which can be reached 6miles from thiruppulingudi or 7 miles northwest of srivaikuntam.This temple is widely now known as perungulam perumal thirukovil.

This divya kshetram is one of the nava tirupathi temples of 108 divya desams.The moolavar is srinivasar also known as soranathar or Mayakoothan in a standing posture and the thaayar kulandhaivalli Nachiyar and Alarmelu mangai .

Urtsavar -- Mayakoothan
Nammazhwar – 3561 – thiruvaimozhi

The legend has it that Kamalavthi ,the daughter of vedasaran meditated on Lord intending to marry him.Pleased with her prayers Lord embraced and married her.Hence this place is called Balika vanam.It is also said that the lord danced at this kshetram after slaying a demon Asmacharan .
